(This is a courtesy listing -- and an update -- for a cat who is not at the Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary.) We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Emmy, who a quick "snap test" showed was "positive" for exposure to FIV (Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus), was found to be "negative" for that condition when she had a more in-depth blood test for it! So, hopefully it will be easier now to find a good, loving adoptive home for her. Emmy is a cute female cat in a foster home with a family that has been patient enough to let her transform from a super-scared, always hiding, cat about two years ago into an affectionate kitty with her human family. Emmy also gets along well with children, dogs and other cats. One cat in the foster home used to pick on her, but Emmy never fought back. She is such a gentle soul! The foster mom makes sure those two remain separate, but the other cats love and play with Emmy. She is spayed, vaccinated, de-flea'd, de-wormed, etc., and loves to play with cat toys.
